Carl E. Kesling, 94, of Fishers, Indiana, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born in Follansbee, West Virginia on November 29, 1929 to the late Virgil Mark and Edna Violet (Barker) Kesling. He was a graduate of Sutton High School of Sutton, West Virginia. He then earned a degree from Glenville State University in West Virginia and then his PharmD in Pharmacy from Butler University. Carl had owned and operated his own pharmacy for several years and had also worked for Cardelli Drugs, Hume Mansur Pharmacy, Kenay Pharmacy, Haag Drug, Peoples Drug, Hooks Drug and CVS Pharmacy. He was a former member of Gassaway Baptist Church in Gasaway, West Virginia, Fairview Presbyterian, Indianapolis, Indiana, Meridian Street Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and most recently was a founding member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers where he served in many capacities, including as Trustee, Elder and Deacon. He also served his faith as a Stephen Minister and Personnel with Whitewater Valley Presbytery. Carl was a man of faith and family. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and gardening, but was happiest making meaningful memories with his beloved family. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Bonita Mae “Bonnie” (Ragan) Kesling; brother, James Edward Kesling and sister, Nina Elizabeth Kesling Patrick. Carl is survived by his devoted children, Mark Darby (Liz) Kesling, Becky (Jerry) Ross and Marty (Jim) Kesling Hoyt; six grateful grandchildren, Elizabeth Hunter Kesling (Kevin), Rachel (Rawson) Kesling Evans, Adam Jerrison (Amanda) Ross, Adrienne Ross Royalty (Danny), Aaron Thomas (Christina) Ross and Hannah May Hoyt; beloved great-grandchildren, Belle, Riley, Oliver, Arlo, Ethan, Elena, Sullivan, Ruby, Carl and August. Private committal services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. A memorial service for Carl will be announced soon at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers.
