Gennie (Baker) Poff, 79, of Huntington passed away on January 13, 2022 at her residence. Gennie was a 1960 graduate of Jackson Township High School in Wells County. She had worked at Memcor E-Systems, Square D Corporation and Walmart. She and her husband, Steve, owned Poff’s Place in Huntington for eight years. Gennie was born on January 16, 1942 in Wooten, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gus and Nettie Baker. She was united in marriage to Stephen Poff on July 16, 1960. Steve survives. Additional survivors include a son: Tony (Kelly) Poff of Huntington; two sisters: Thelma (Sam) Lloyd of Englewood, FL, Peggy (Dave) Tyler of Huntington; three brothers: Dan Baker of Hartford City, Tom Baker of Warren, Clarence (Barbara) Baker of Hartford City; six grandchildren: Teri, Jessica, Jon, Allison, Kasey, Emily and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Ioleen Fear, Fern Vincent, Helen Baker, Grace Baker and a brother: John Baker. There will be no public visitation or service at this time. Memorial donations can be made out to the donor’s choice of charity in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
