David L. Coomer, age 82, of Hobart, IN passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023. He was born on July 23, 1940, to the late Elmer and Effie (Young) Coomer in Princeton, IN.
David was a very strong individual. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He supported his family working for Inland Steel as a Rail Dump Operator. His work ethic did not go unnoticed. His 40 years of service to them was greatly appreciated. To those who knew him well, he always had something to say. His hobbies outside of work included attending Ross Baptist Church, tinkering with watches and enhancing his patriotic attributes. The love his family had for him was returned many times over. He will be forever missed.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Katie (Randy Deinema) Denham, granddaughter, Karlee Denham, sister, Laura Leight, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
David is welcomed into eternity by his wife, Linda Coomer; parents, Elmer and Effie Coomer; and siblings: Dick Coomer, Jim Coomer, Rose Bilderback, and Betty Mungear.
