Betty L. Longoria, born June 17, 1962, age 56 of Wheatfield, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at home. Betty is survived by her husband of 7 years, Sam “Diablo”. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her 2 daughters, Lisa and Jamie as well as her 4 step-children; Sam, Dawn, David and Gary and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Randy, Wesley, Thomas, Phillip, Teresa and Bernice. Betty loved knitting quilts and blankets for friends, family and the Expo for Special Persons. She was also a Betty Boop fanatic. Betty was a member of the American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association, Indiana Patriot Riders, Wheatfield Post 406 Legion Riders and the VFW in Valparaiso. Betty loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed gardening and her time with her dogs. Betty was pursuing a degree in the medical field and was passionate about helping others. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Norma and her beloved Rott companion, Shadow. Friends are invited to meet with the family Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with a Tribute service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
