Donald "Don" Ray Myers

Donald Ray Myers, 87, of Weyers Cave, VA passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1937 to Rufus Paul Myers and Mildred Simmons Myers who preceded him in death. Also, his first wife, Doris and his infant son, Stacey preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Betty Menefee Myers; son, Dennis Myers (Tammy) and daughter, Toni Steele (Lynn) and his four step-children, Jan Watkins, Danny Menefee, Tom Menefee (Pamela) and Lori Guyer (Tim); a very special grandson, Jeremy Fisher; he has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother and a sister. Don was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He was a farmer in his younger years. He was an avid tractor puller for many years “Little Red Rooster”. He retired from Valley Implement Sales. He loved spending time with his wife, going hunting with his grandson, Jeremy, going to the beach; he loved tinkering in his shop on mowers and weed eaters. He would like to thank his caregivers, Lori and Tim Guyer, Jeremy Fisher, Rebecca Dobson, Emma Farrar and Hospice of the Shenandoah, Nicole, Angela and Susan. There will be no visitation and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests the donations be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 417 Salem Church Road, Mt.
