Gertrude Mary Smith, 83, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was a native of Lawrence, Massachusetts and was a resident of Hampton since 1966.
Gertrude was preceded in rest by her husband, Bernard C. Smith, Jr.; parents, Thomas Joseph and Florence Agnes Wilman; sister, Helen Hammond; and brother, Robert Wilman. She is survived by her son, Bernard C. Smith III (Laura); daughters, Peggy Farr-Gaskins (Jim), Suzi S. Perry, and Rosemarie S. Pulvino (John); nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating Gertrude’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 Burckroe Avenue, in Hampton. Inurnment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Thrift Store Fund.
