Colleen Ann Miller Cherry

Colleen Cherry, 51, of Greensburg passed away on March 4, 2014. She was born on December 29, 1962 in Anaheim, California, the daughter of Hugh and Rosanne Miller. Colleen was a 1981 graduate of South Decatur High School. She was a quality control specialist for Nipro (formerly Wheaton) of Westport for over 20 years. Colleen loved her family, shopping, and traveling. She was a silent helper supporting many different causes by volunteering and donating. She was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church of Columbus. On October 29, 1992, she married David Lee Cherry. Survivors include: Husband- David Cherry, Parents- Hugh and Rosanne Miller, Children- Jenny (Ryan) Burkhart, Michael Colson, Jessica Cherry, Jennifer Colson, and Stephanie Cherry, Grandchildren- Jada, Layne, and Ashton Lee, Nolan and Maggie Burkhart, Mariah Cherry, and RoseLyn Volk, Sister- Kathy (Greg) Pataky, Father-in-law- William Cherry, Brothers-in-law- Tom Cherry and Richard (Donna) Cherry. She was preceded in death by her Mother-in-law- Luella Cherry. A Rosary Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, with a visitation for family and friends following until 6:00 p.m. at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, Indiana. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Columbus, Indiana with calling from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass. Father Doug Marcotte will be officiating. A luncheon will follow the Mass at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the future creation of Colleens Closet, a local non-profit organization to help cancer patients with everyday needs.
