Nécrologie de Jane Elaine Stevenson
Jane Elaine (Stackhouse) Stevenson, age 77, died in her sleep of natural causes in her Greencastle residence July 14, 2024. Gifted with natural organizational skills, she enjoyed being in positions of responsibility. She was currently serving as Building Manager of Spring Street Square Condominiums where she lived. She previously worked for the Indianapolis Airport Authority in real estate relocation during the airport expansion in the early 2000s. She also worked for GTE in IT/business operations and for Indiana National Bank at the onset of ATMs. She was enjoying her retirement by crafting. She won awards at the Putnam County Fair for her hand-crafted greeting cards, scrapbooks and crafts. She also oversaw those areas for the fair’s adult open classes the past three years and even judged those areas at the Indiana State Fair one year! She belonged to the Happy Scrappers Club. She would frequently attend craft shows around the state with her friends and scrapping gals. She loved to play cards and hated to lose, just ask the members of the GC Card Girls who played with her almost every Thursday! She also looked forward to a good game of Euchre at any family gathering! Jane loved her family and was a proud grandmother! She looked forward to visits to New Mexico to visit her daughter and grandson. She enjoyed taking road trips to New Mexico with friends and loved heading to beach for a good sunset any time she could. Born Feb. 17, 1947, to Frank and Lois Stackhouse, Jane grew up in Monrovia and graduated from Monrovia High School in 1965. Survivors include her daughters Malynna Tucher (husband John) and Lorinda Clark, grandson Jonah Judson and brother Frank Stackhouse, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.
