Audrey Maxine (Pleake) English, 93, 0f Greencastle, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, with her family by her side.
Audrey was born August 12, 1924 in Crown Center, IN, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Wilhite) Pleake. She was the fifth child born into the family and had nine siblings.
She married John W. English Sr. and they shared a good life together for 60 years, losing her husband on March 29, 2009. They raised and are survived by their four great children, John W. English II and companion, Barbara Hendricks, Debbie L. Nail & husband, Eddie, Barbara Stanifer & husband, Ron, and Bruce A. English & wife, Yong; a brother, Daniel Pleake Jr.: seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great great grandsons.
Family, friends, and faith were their joy and love.
As per Audrey’s request, no services have been selected. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers and staff at Asbury Towers for their loving care of our Mother. Memorial contributions may be made in Audrey’s memory to the activity department at Asbury Towers 102 W. Poplar St. Greencastle, IN 46135.
