Helen Pearson

Helen R. Pearson, age 94, of Winnabow, NC formerly of Front Royal passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Bunce officiating. Burial will follow in Orlean Cemetery. Ms. Pearson lived in Front Royal from 1979 until 2003. She was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, T. Franklin Pearson of Charlottesville; her daughter, Doris Jean Young of Winnabow, NC; her sisters, Gladys Gore and Loraine Simpkins; her eight grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren. Ms. Pearson was preceded in death by her husband F. LeRoy Pearson; and her son J. DeShields Pearson. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to Marlow Heights Baptist Church, 517 Braxton Rd., Front Royal, VA 22630.
