William Howard Shough, age 78, of Orland, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his home.
Bill was born on December 3, 1943 in Montgomery County, Topeka, Kansas to George and June (Field) Shough.
He graduated from high school in Villisca, Iowa. He enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and served our Country until 1967 during the Vietnam War.
Bill married Kelli Straw on July 19, 1986 in LaGrange, Indiana.
He retired from Parr Farm Supply after many years of service.
He was a member of the Orland American Legion Post # 423 for 47 years. Serving as Post Commander, and also served in the Post Color Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Kelli Shough of Orland, Indiana, children, Gary (Kelly) Shough of Orland, Indiana, Andy (Kita) Shough of Fremont, Indiana, Ashton (Luke) Gurik of Coldwater, Michigan, and Holden (Brittany) Shough of Kendallville, Indiana, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister, Judy Shough, brothers, Wayne Shough, Doug Shough, Ed Shough, Rex Shough, Mike Shough, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and June Shough, and a brother, Dan Shough.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Orland American Legion Post # 423. Rev. Donna Holcomb will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Orland American Legion Color Guard and the US Army.
A gathering with a meal and refreshments will follow at the Legion Post.
Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to the Orland Fire & Rescue, Orland American Legion Post # 423, or Heart To Heart Hospice.
