When his oldest son Jim started racing motocross, he was so proud to be the mechanic to work on the bikes, they traveled all over to race. Following his retirement in 2008 from being an industrial electrician, Jim and Judy’s dream was to travel the United States; they have been in all of the lower 48 states. He enjoyed working on cars and most of all, his classic car, a 1965 Malibu convertible. He and Judy did many car shows, traveling all over the United States in the car making a lot of new friends. Jim never knew a stranger, anywhere he went, he had a story or two or three to tell. Most of all, Jim loved his family and his friends. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren.
