Thomas Gregory Strong-Hevel

Thomas Gregory Strong-Hevel, 19 passed away on April 12, 2021. He was born January 6, 2002 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of Greg Hevel and Jenny Strong, who survive. Thomas attended St. John Lutheran School, St. Paul's Lutheran School and was a 2020 graduate from Concordia High School. It was while attending St. John Lutheran Church, that Thomas was baptized and began his spiritual journey as a member of their congregation. His deep faith and trust in God was a constant throughout his life. Thomas' conviction was evident in his willingness to serve and his concern for the salvation of those he loved. Thomas also belonged to Boy Scout Troup 419. His hard work and determination culminated in his achievement of Eagle Scout rank in 2020. More than anything, Thomas expressed himself most honestly through his art. All of the time and talent Thomas put into his drawing can be recognized in the work he has left behind. Thomas is survived by his aforementioned parents; siblings, Megan Hevel and James Hevel; grandparents, Beverly Hevel and Carol Suro; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. A public memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4 pm to 8 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Ft. Wayne, IN 46805.
