Sherry L. Kruckeberg

Sherry L. Kruckeberg, 66, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was born on May 14, 1957 in Fort Wayne. She was a graduate of Wayne High School in 1975. She spent more than 25 years working at Hall’s restaurant, serving as a waitress, hostess, and dining room manager. She also spent 15 years working for the East Allen County School Corporation. She will be remembered for how loving and selfless she was with everyone lucky enough to know her. Sherry's smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious. What she loved most was being surrounded by her friends and family, whether it was at home or at a lake cottage that they rented during the summer. Surviving family include her husband, Steve Kruckeberg; son, Jason (Melissa) Kruckeberg; grandsons, Benson, Colston, and Jace; and siblings, William (Ann) Evilsizer, Lisa Hemsoth, and Tammy Glass. She was preceded in passing by her father, Paul G. Evilsizer; and mother, Sonya Sue (Boyer) Allen. Memorial service will be 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will take place in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne at a later date. Memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice.
