Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson, age 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. Regretfully we announce the passing of Richard Johnson On May 19th 2023 at 1:40 am, he took his final breath surrounded by close family members. The sun rose and the world welcomed Richard on June 30, 1945. My Dad lived a full warm life filled with honesty, happiness and kindness. My Dad will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Richard is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Tina:(4 children/7grandchildren), Caroll “ Susie”: (3 children/ 3 grandchildren), Jeanette (4 children /2 grandchildren), Deborah (3 children/ 7 grandchildren), and Cadie (his baby). Richard was preceded in death by his parents Ulus and Chattie along with 5 siblings: Dallas, Ray, Ida, Alma and Nancy. He had 2 grandchildren gain their wings Erin and Jacob and one great grandson Wyatt Beckler. He was a truck driver for over 40 years, worked for Norfolk and Southern and in his free time he often enjoyed using his god gifted musician talent by playing bass guitar in church, he was a lead guitarist in Paul Schmucker’s band and made every visitor sing Karaoke with him. We cannot thank him enough for the wisdom and Guidance that was gifted to all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
