Richard Eugene Beck Sr.

Richard Eugene Beck Sr. of Fort Wayne died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Hearth at Sycamore Village. He was the son of Gerald S. and Ruth (Wilson) Beck. He was born October 14, 1927, in Columbia City, IN. Richard was a retired sales manager at Anthony Motor Parts Corporation. He was a Lutheran Hospital volunteer for 15 years. He was a member of the Northridge Baptist Church. Richard proudly served as a Merchant Marine in WW II in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally; and 3 siblings. Richard is survived by his 3 children, Richard (Sylvia) Beck Jr. of Fort Wayne, Sherry Beck of Indianapolis, and Bryan Beck of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 7 remaining siblings. Celebration of Life Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Northridge Baptist Church, 1300 E. Cook Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior at the church. Pastor Gary Green officiating. Memorial visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
