Marcus Allen Payne

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Marcus Allen Payne, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at age 51. Marcus was born May 5,1973 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Marcus worked as a forklift driver at H&M Bay Inc. for many years. Marcus enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a joke and loved to make people laugh and smile. His biggest joy was his children and grandchildren. If you knew him, then you know his favorite title was "Papa". Marcus was loved by so many people and he will be missed dearly. Marcus is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tracy Payne; his daughters, Amber Doan, Ashley Karn, Brittany Payton, Jennifer (Bruce) Orr, and Kaylie Johnson; his sons, Zachery Doan and Dylan Karn; his 12 grandchildren; his brothers, Rick (Dezi) Anderson, Robert Payne, Steve (Karen) Payne, Kevin (Hughie) Payne, Jack Deaton and Terry (Lori) Smith Sr.; his sister, Terri Draper; many nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Smith Sr.; his mother Janice Smith; his brothers, Dale Payne Jr., Dan Anderson, and Clarence Smith Jr.; his sisters, Rebecca Anderson, Melinda Lukins, Cheryl Sullivan and Rita Smith. Funeral Services to be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with visitation 2 hours prior, at Pathway Community Church, 1010 Carroll Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46845 with Pastor Tanner Burns officiating. A gathering will be held directly after services at 6428 W. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN. 46818. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Mungovan.
