James Franklin Lantz

James Franklin Lantz, age 77, of Fort Wayne, Ind. passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was born July 31, 1945 in Elkhart, Ind. to the late Raymond and Mary Jane Lantz. James graduated Southside High School 1963 where he lettered in Tennis. Shortly after graduation, he met and married the love of his life, Joanne K. Slater. He proudly served our nation from 1965 to 1967 in the U.S. Army HHC, 53rd Aviation Battalion. During his career, he worked for Zollner Corporation, Maier Men's Wear, and Michelin Tire. James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Joanne; sons, Jason (Keri) Lantz of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Joshua (Carolyn) Lantz; and grandchildren, Lincoln, Veronica, Jane, and Jackson.
