Gloria L. Reibs, 91, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Kingston Care Center. Gloria was born on January 4, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late George Arthur and Esther Marie Matilda (Scheffler) Bolz. She graduated from Concordia High School, Fort Wayne. She worked in food service at Concordia High School and spent time volunteering at the former St. Joseph Hospital and Kingston Care Center on Washington Center Road. She also played the piano for Audiences Unlimited at various venues. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the piano, flower gardening, and especially spending time with her family. Surviving family include her twin sister, Grace Bates; sons, John (Judy) Reibs and David (Patricia "Pat") Reibs; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Reibs, Anna (Branden) Clayton, Matthew (Mason) Burnside, and Jason Reibs; and great-grandchildren, Elijah and Makynlee Reibs, and Baby Clayton due in June. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband on September 11, 2001, Carl Reibs, whom she married on June 9, 1957. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gloria's name may be made to Humane Fort Wayne, Little League Challenger, or Multiple Sclerosis Association.
