Eloise C. Best

ELOISE C. BEST, 92, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Riverbend Healthcare. Born Feb. 7, 1921, in Mobile, Ala., she was a daughter of the late William Henry Dean and Carrie Dean. She was the manager for Gafers Beauty Shop, Mobile, Ala., and a stylist for Wolf & Dessauer and Hutner's. She loved to square and round dance and was an avid gardner. Surviving are her husband, James L. Best of Fort Wayne; daughters, Diane Best of Fort Wayne and Maryann (Steve) Ervin of Leo. Brother in laws and sister in laws; Richard (Evelyn) Best Wolcotville, IN and Randy (Norma) Shaw of Ft. wayne, IN She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Snow. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. , with visitation one hour prior. Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Mausoleum.
