Donna Kay Golsteyn

Donna Kay (Sommers) Golsteyn, age 58, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Donna was a star volleyball player at Bishop Dwenger High School, and played for Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She later earned her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Donna carried her passion for volleyball throughout her life, coaching thousands of young women over the years. She enjoyed nothing more, than the opportunities she had to coach her children and grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jay Golsteyn; stepmother, Sharon Sommers; children, Rachel (Andrew) Shepherd, Tyler Golsteyn and Jaydon Golsteyn; grandchildren, Mariah, Will, and Cash; brothers, Bill (Lisa) Sommers, John Sommers, Forest Joslin, Todd (Cielo) Joslin , and Jason Joslin; sisters, Jamie (Ken) Fletchall and Susan (Mike) Mader.
She is predeceased by her parents, William and Sue Sommers.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Tuesday, May 16 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, May 15 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Highland Park, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery & Mausoleum, Fort Wayne.
