Dennis Paul Collins

Dennis (Denny) P. Collins of Ft Wayne, IN passed away on Monday April 17, 2023 at the age of 67. Denny was also known to many friends as Troll, Paco or DP. He graduated from Snider High School in 1974. Denny worked at Hanna Brothers Painting and Drywall for over 35 years. He will always be remembered for his passion for fishing and hunting. His quick smile and healthy sense of humor endeared him to everyone. Denny was also a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Freemason and Scottish Rite all of which he was proud to be part of. Surviving is his wife of 44 years Sherry (Grove) Collins; son Joshua Collins, daughter Erin (Miles) McKerracher; and brother Kevin Collins (Vicki Coomer). Additionally his three granddaughters, “the Apple of his eyes“, Madora and Briella McKerracher along with Piper Collins. Also surviving are uncle and aunt Bruce and Patti Davenport; special “Brother” Perry Grove; along with cousins, nephews and many dear friends. Denny is preceded in death by his mother Joyce (Davenport) Collins and father Charles (Dick) Collins. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 29, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, April 28, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
