Barbara J Bruner

Barbara J. Bruner, 92 passed away Thursday November 11, 2021 at Cates Hospice House in Ocala, FL. She was born September 26, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN., to the late Harry L. and Lillian M. Ketchum and was the middle child of nine children. Barbara was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Marion Oaks in Ocala Fl and a former member at Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Fort Wayne. She loved helping others and was a compassionate woman. She bowled twice a week, played bingo, and loved to travel. She is survived by her son David Bruner, daughter Mary Beth Johnson, both of Ocala, FL; brothers Robert (Della) Ketchum and Richard (Nita) Ketchum both of Arkansas; grandson Christopher ( Nicole) Bruner, Angela (David) Sahyouni, Amanda (Ben) Kelly, Kimberly Johnson, Kylie Ash-Johnson, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Roland Bruner, daughter Betty Bruner, grandson David E. Bruner, brothers Bernard and Paul Ketchum, sisters, Charlotte Anderson, Shirley Files, Nancy Manning, and Mary Tunstall. Funeral service will be 3pm Saturday November 20, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation from 1-3pm. Private burial in Covington Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
