Barbara E. Applegarth

Barbara E Applegarth, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 8, 2022. Born on August 3, 1947, in Glenville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Collins. Barbara loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors. Her house was the place everyone would get together. At one time Barbara owned the Indiana Ostomy Supply. She was a volunteer in FWCS while her sons attended school. She volunteered at the Allen County Cancer Society, and was president for many years of the Ostomy Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and friends and spending time with her family. She loved telling stories and discussing current events. Barbara will be greatly missed by all the people who loved her. She is survived by her husband, Clayton Applegarth; sons, Sean Sickafoose (Angela) and Mark Sickafoose (Heather), grandchildren: Evan and Reid Sickafoose, Noah and Sophia Weimer, Emma Adams, Jackson and Marissa Sickafoose, brother, Winston Collins and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother David McVaney, sisters Hilda Watson, and Joann Dobbins. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne. Celebration of life to be announced and posted when available.
