Mary "Alice" Pat Dougherty

Mary Alice (Pat) Dougherty, age 90 of Falls Church, VA, passed away on October 20, 2018. She was born on November 13, 1927 in Charleston, West Virginia to Eugene and Dorothea Yager. Alice is the beloved wife of the late Louis L. Dougherty; devoted mother of Robert, William, Mary Ann, John, Janet, Karen and Susan; cherished grandmother of Stephanie, William, Bonnie, James, Shannon, Leighton, Zachary, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, Shelby, Robert and Christopher; loving great-grandmother of 5; dear sister of Paul Yager. As a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver, she will always be remembered for her dedicated involvement in helping and caring for others. She was always active in helping her family, friends, neighbors, and community when needed. Friends may call at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St, Falls Church, VA on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 10 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 905 Park Ave., Falls Church, VA. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
