Mrs Hue T. Nguyen

Nguyen Thi Hue, 95 years of age, of Kien An, Viet Nam, passed away peacefully at home on November 15th, 2022 in Catharpin VA, surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Hue was born on December 19th, 1927 to Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong and Mrs. Hoang Thi Bong, in Kien An, a small rice farming community in Northern Viet Nam. As the only daughter in a family of eight children, she was dearly loved by her parents and brothers. Mrs. Hue married Mr. Bach Van Ha in Ha Nam, Viet Nam in 1945. Mrs. Hue led an extraordinary life, starting with her and her husband’s migration to Southern Viet Nam in 1954, through the war period of 1955-1975 when they raised five children, to their harrowing escape by boat from Viet Nam in 1978. Mrs. Hue and her family spent eighteen months in a refugee camp in Malaysia before coming to America in 1979. All through her life, Mrs. Hue has been a devoted wife to her husband, a loving mother to her children, and a caring grandmother as well as the guiding light for her grandchildren. She will be remembered for the boundless love she provided to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Hue has always been a sweet, warm and outgoing person to everyone who knows her. Her most important achievement is to have guided her children and grandchildren to become successful members of the community and to make contributions to humanity. Mrs. Hue is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all her brothers. She will be deeply missed by son Duc Bach, daughter-in-law Thuong Nguyen, and grandchildren Alex and Alison; daughter Hong Bach, son-in-law Dinh Nguyen, and grandchildren Dan, Jeffrey, and Aaron; daughter Tuyet Bach, son-in-law Long Quach, and grandchildren Kevin, Bryant, and Michelle; son Michael S. Bach, daughter-in-law Anh Cong, and grandchildren Sydney, Kaylee, and Aidan; daughter Yen Bach, son-in-law Hao Ly, and grandchildren Dani and Andrew. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Mrs. Su Bach and Mrs. Nguyet Bach, and their families; and her cousin Mrs. Thong Nguyen, and her family. Funeral service will take place at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, on Saturday November 26th, 2022, starting at 9:30 AM. Mrs. Hue Nguyen will be buried next to her husband of 60 years at National Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by National Funeral Home & National Memory Park.
