Beloved wife of 67 years of the late Julius Akman; devoted mother of Barbara (the late Stanley) Caplan, Allan (Janet) Akman, Jerome (Susan) Akman and Larry (Nonie) Akman; loving grandmother of David (Kim) Caplan, Sheryl (Kevin) Garton, Jeffrey (Kelli) Caplan, Michael (Annette) Akman, Joseph Akman, Andrew (Katherine) Akman, Jennifer Akman, Sara (Christopher) Lange, Jonathan Akman and Alex Akman; adoring great-grandmother of Sam, Rachel, Jack, Hallie, Lily, Caroline, Matthew, Benjamin, Max, Noah and Sydney. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Congregation Har Shalom, 11510 Falls Rd., Potomac, MD. Interment King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, VA. The family will be in mourning at the home of Allan and Janet Akman Tuesday, March 12, 2013 and Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
