Jeffrey Warren McKinney was born to Carl Edward "Big Eddie" McKinney and Gloria Busch Miranda, in Washington, D.C., the nation's capital. He served his country in the Navy for four years, before having a long and successful career in the tech industry, known for his strong work ethic. He is preceded by his father and two brothers, Carl Edward "Little Eddie" McKinney and Joseph O'Neil McKinney. He is survived by his sister, Carla Bennett. Jeff was passionate about music, art, and cinema, interests which he passed on to his only son, Matthew Ryan McKinney. Later in life, Jeff entered the one holy Catholic and Apostolic church in 2010, taking on the confirmation name of St. Giles. Jeffrey is loved and remembered by his family and friends, always leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He came across many challenges in his life, but never faltered a single time, maintaining his unwavering conviction and code. He would do whatever was needed from him, especially for his family. He still is a loving son, a devoted brother, a guiding father, and a true American patriot. Jeffrey McKinney will be missed, and his legacy will echo upon not just those who knew him, but for the generations to come in his family. A funeral service for Jeffrey will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Rd, Clifton, VA 20124. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
