Tommy “Tom” G. Eli, 79, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his home. He was born on August 3, 1941, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to the late Gether Mable and Odea Earl (Brown) Eli.
Tom graduated in 1959 from Charleston High in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. He was baptized in 1965 at Calvary Baptist Church in Henderson, Kentucky. Tom retired from Holland Trucking Company as a dock supervisor. He had worked all of his life in trucking. He was a member of the Evansville Handball Club, Crossroads Christian Church, Redemption Community Church, Hadi Shrine, and was an avid basketball player and diehard UK fan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna in 2020; and sister, Ruth Thorpe.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Kevin) Naas of Newburgh; grandchildren, Hannah (Christian) Burch, Alexandria (Lee) Garrett, and Emily Naas; great grandson, David Burch and great granddaughter, Paisley Burch.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastors Jason Davis and Mark Silen. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
