Michael Henry Chandley, born on January 30,1952 in Evansville, IN passed away at home in peace at 8:30 pm on July 16, 2024. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1970. He began a life in the elevator trade with Dover Elevator and retired from Thyssen Krupp July 2015. Known as a helpful and generous friend, he was a founding member of the 2nd Amendment Patriots, an amateur poet, active in both local and national politics, former president of Local 361, an avid collector, a member of the ROMEO men's club, an avid Judo enthusiast, student and practitioner, North High school band booster club volunteer leader, and former president of Bluegrass United Methodist Church council. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Jane Elliott Chandley (2003), his father Russell Tryon Chandley (1982), and his brother Thomas Edward Chandley (2019). He is survived by his wife Rhonda Phipps Chandley, his sons: Chad Elliott, Ryan Samuel (Kelly), Todd Perry (Liqueta), Cory Robert (Melissa), his daughter Lindsey Fleshman (Tyler), 15 Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their caring, dedication, and attention. All services will be held at Alexander North Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel with burial to follow in Bluegrass Cemetery.
