Janie M. Watson

Janie M. (Bowen) Watson, 70, of Evansville passed away Monday February 6, 2023. She was born January 22, 1953 in Evansville to William and Alberta (Baehl) Bowen. She was a selfless and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Janie was a registered nurse for over 40 years working at Welborn Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. She loved reading and music. Janie was a gentle soul, but was never afraid to say what was on her mind. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Watson; and father, William Bowen. She is survived by her mother, Alberta Bowen; brother, Bob Bowen; son; Paul Watson (Lori); daughter, Stephanie Spradling (Kyle); and grandson, Xavier. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday February 11, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
