Nécrologie de James Daniel Pry
James Daniel Pry, born on December 28, 1950, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, left this world on March 20, 2024. His sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled. Jim was the beloved son of Daniel and Mary Pry and was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews, Austin Pry and Christopher Stephen Pry, and his wife of fifteen years, Elaine Mundy Pry. Jim's memory will forever live on through his brothers Richard Pry M.D. and Mark Pry, his loyal companion Radar, and several nieces and a nephew who cherished him deeply. Growing up on a ranch in Cheyenne provided Jim with an appreciation for hard work and the beauty of nature. He graduated from St. Mary's High School before pursuing higher education at the University of Wyoming, where he earned his BS degree in agronomy in 1974. Following his passion for serving others, Jim joined the Peace Corps after college. For three impactful years from 1974 to 1977, he dedicated himself to helping others while stationed in Paraguay. His selflessness knew no bounds. Upon returning home from Paraguay, Jim embarked on a distinguished career with the USDA that spanned over two decades until his retirement in 1999. His dedication to public service touched countless lives during those years. In Evansville, Indiana, Jim found love once again when he met Elaine Mundy, whom he married after falling head over heels for her charm and grace. Together, they worked tirelessly side by side at Gammon Realty until her untimely passing in 2014. Jim had a heart of gold – always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of comfort when needed most. He exemplified compassion through every action he took throughout life - even offering one of his own kidneys without hesitation when illness struck close to home within his family circle. The impact James Daniel Pry made upon this world can not be measured simply by dates or titles but rather by the immeasurable kindness that radiated from him each day - touching hearts far beyond what could ever be quantified. His absence leaves an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to have known him personally or professionally. Services honoring Jim's life will take place at Alexander Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana, on Wednesday, March 27th. Friends may pay their respects during visitation beginning at 3:00 PM, followed by the memorial service commencing promptly at 4:00 PM. May we find solace knowing that though our time together was fleeting, it was truly meaningful beyond measure. Rest peacefully now, dear friend - your legacy shall endure eternally within our hearts... Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
