Doris A. Arnett Williams

Doris A. Williams, 85, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011, at her home. She was born January 28, 1926, in Henderson, KY, to the late Al C. and Rose (Keysor) Arnett. She was a graduate of Corydon High School and the University of Evansville. She was a nurse for 22 years at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Little Sisters of the Poor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, researching family history and gardening. Doris was preceded in death by her son, John A. Williams; brother, Tom Arnett; and sister, Ruth Bengert. She is survived by her sons, Samuel Scott Williams (Marcia Kendle) and Charles F. Williams (Rhonda); grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Kimberly Williams-Eden, Terese Williams, Nicholas Williams and Madison Williams; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
