David Franklin Hensley

David Franklin Hensley, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024. David was born and raised in Asheville, NC. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed at the DMZ in South Korea. After his service, David dedicated 33 years to Karges Furniture Company before his retirement. He was a devoted husband and a loving family man who cherished fishing, camping, good food, and spending time with his wife, Marylee. For over 46 wonderful years, David and Marylee were inseparable, sharing countless adventures together. He was a child of God and loved his Lord deeply, as well as his children and grandchildren. David is survived by his beloved wife, Marylee (Minton) Hensley; his daughter, Janet Lynn Taylor; grandsons, Andrew and Dylan; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Margie Thompson; and many extended family members, including brothers-in-law Bill Garrison, Jim (Ande) Minton; and sisters-in-law Notomi (John) Berg and Marilyn (Harvey) Dieckhaus. He is preceded in death by his son, David "Heath" Hensley; his sister, Bobbie Garrison; and his brothers, Jr., Harold, and Pete Hensley. Honoring David's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Alexander West Chapel is entrusted with his care.
