Byron W. Jett, 81, of Evansville, IN passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at The Village at Holliday. He was born on August 11, 1942 in Evansville, IN to late Willis and Edna (Weber) Jett.
Byron served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from National City Bank after 34 years. Byron was a member of First Christian Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Laycock (Ben) of Franklin, TN; step-daughter, Peggy Davis (Jim); sister, Barbara Norton of New Albany, IN; brother, Steven Jett of Mt. Vernon, IL; granddaughters, Finley and Harper Laycock; and grandson, Austin Belanger.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Wanda Jett.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Christian Church or the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. His final resting place will be at Alexander Memorial Park next to his wife, Wanda.
