Nécrologie de Brian Lee Wittmer
It is with great sadness that Brian Lee Wittmer passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born in Terre Haute, IN on June 16, 1963 to Wilmer and Dora Wittmer. For all those that knew Brian they will remember his loud laugh, contagious energy, and passion to be with people. He was a dedicated Reitz Panther, a fan of the Fighting Irish, and a fierce friend to those close to him. Brian enjoyed fishing, good music, and getting to know others. He was hospitable, kind, and could usually be found telling the same stories he had been telling for 40 years to someone new, with the same joy and laughter as the first time he told it. He worked for many years with his father selling life insurance for Franklin life, and also enjoyed helping to coach his children's baseball teams when they were younger. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Wittmer; his first born son, Jason and granddaughter, Ellison. He is survived by his loving mother, Dora; sons, Tyler (Alicia) and Brayden; daughter, Brooklyn; grandsons, Roman and Hunter; brother, Shawn; sister-in-law, Andrea, and their children, Noah, Margo and Adeline. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Alexander Funeral Home West, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville IN, 47712. Friends may visit from 3:00 pm to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue, www.itvrescue.org, where Brian had rescued two dogs, whom he loved dearly. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderWestChapel.com.
