Betty Jean Thurman, 75, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born December 28, 1942 in Evansville.
She formerly worked for the EVSC for several years and was a seamstress for many years. She was member of the Lady Owls, enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis “Louis” B. Thurman, Jr.; brother Bobby Mason, and brother-in-law, Lowell Thurman.
She is survived by daughters, Patty Kenney (David) and Yvonne Woodard (James); grandchildren, April, Lori (Chad), Ben (Audrey) and Jeff ; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Olyvia, Addison, Peyton, Cayden, Katye, Braxtyn and Brayden; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Mason, Hildy Thurman and Donna Martin, and brothers-in-law, David Thurman (Linda) and Richard Martin.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 5:00 to 7:00PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 and Thursday from 10:00AM to service time at the funeral home.
