Nécrologie de Neva Lee Myers
With hearts full of gratitude and reverence for a life well-lived, we honor the memory of Neva Lee Myers, who, at the age of 89, was gently gathered to the Lord on February 11, 2024. Born into this world on January 22, 1935, in Grant County, West Virginia, Neva's life was a testament to the virtues of humility, gratitude, and an abiding respect for the splendor of God's creation. Neva's unwavering faith and devotion were evident to all who knew her, as she was a cherished member of the First Century Baptist Church. Her commitment to her faith community and the Lord's work was a source of inspiration and a beacon of light that shone brightly within her church and beyond. Her love for bluegrass music was a reflection of her appreciation for the simple, beautiful gifts of life, while her dedication to gardening demonstrated her respect for the nurturing of life and the stewardship of the Earth. Neva's hands, which once tended to her beloved garden, are now at rest in the divine garden of eternal peace. Blessed with a large and loving family, Neva is survived by her children, Lonnie Myers, Jr. (Tina), Alma Jean Myers, and Randy Myers (Darlene); her siblings, Norma Brown (William), Brenda Cook (Sonny), Berlan Judy (Beverly), Elden Judy (Mary), and Paul Judy (Hilda); and a cherished lineage of 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Her spirit of love and generosity will continue to live on through them. Preceding her in her heavenly journey were her beloved husband of 59 years, Lonnie Myers, Sr., her mother Dorothy Judy, her father Jess Judy, and her sister Rebecca Judy. They have welcomed her with open arms into the Kingdom of Heaven. The Myers family invites the community to join them in a gathering of remembrance and prayer at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A service to honor Neva's life and her return to her Creator will be held at First Century Baptist Church in Stevensburg, VA, on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Neva will be laid to rest at Hopewell Methodist Church in Lignum, VA, amidst the beauty of the world she so dearly cherished. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Neva's legacy of faith and love, contributions may be made to First Century Baptist Church, 19191 Batna Road, Culpeper, VA 22701. Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, Virginia, is entrusted with the arrangements, serving the Myers family with compassion and care during this sacred time. May the life of Neva Lee Myers be a guiding light of humility and love, and may her soul find everlasting joy in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
