Johnny was born in Albemarle County, Virginia on April 26, 1935 to George W. Walton and Mary Garrison Walton. He moved to Alexandria, Virginia at a young age, eventually working on Hayfield Farm. He was a 1954 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and drove the school bus in his Junior and Senior years. After graduating High School, he went to work for Melpar, which later became E Systems and is currently known as Raytheon. One highlight of his career was working on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. He retired after 35 years of dedicated service. After his retirement in 1989, Johnny and his wife Brenda moved from Alexandria to Culpeper, Virginia where they enjoyed a quiet, serene life in the country. Johnny was a Jack of all Trades…he could fix most anything. He had many hobbies during his life, such as hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and wood working. He loved spending time with his family. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William E. and Harold W. Walton and his beloved son Brian Scott (Scotty) Walton. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years Brenda J. Walton of Culpeper, beloved daughter Cynthia Walton Breeden of Culpeper, Granddaugher Heather Holder (Brian Holder) of Lovettesville, VA, Grandson Kyle Breeden of Culpeper and Great-Grandson Maxwell Holder. All services will be private.
