Christopher “Chris” Peter Szara, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 24, 2023, at the age of 41. Devoted Father of Cambrie Szara and Jaxen Szara. Beloved Boyfriend of Shannon M. Connolly. Loving Son of Larry and the late Ann Marie (née Seibt) Szara. Dear Brother of Leigh (Joshua Belcher) Szara and Kate (Ryan McIntyre) Szara. Loving Best Friend of Maeve Keating and MacKenzie Martin. Dear Dog Dad to Toby Waffles. Dear Nephew, Cousin, and Friend to many. Chris was a proud worker for IBEW 697 Electrical Workers for 17 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing ice hockey on the Bombers and golfing at Minne Monesse golf course. Chris was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Family and friends are to gather for the Memorial Visitation on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 3:00-8:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 S Cline Ave, Crown Point IN 46307.
