Linda E. Crabtree passed away at home on May 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 74.
She was born in Red Fox, Kentucky on February 10, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret Smith Bentley. She graduated from Connersville High School in 1969. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bobby Crabtree on July 6, 1974. They shared 50 years of marriage prior to her death.
Linda retired from Visteon after many years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, working word search puzzles, and watching old westerns. She loved traveling with her husband, Bobby and visiting family. She had a greeting card ministry of sending cards to friends and church members in nursing homes, hospitals, or to their homes. Along with husband, Linda faithfully donated food to the Food Bank at Calvary Baptist.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Angela L. Crabtree.
She is survived by a brother, Danny (Dominga) Bentley, a sister, Eileen (Jerry) Beard and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Linda's honor.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 309 W 24th St, Connersville, Indiana 47331. Burial will follow at Everton cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home has been entrusted with Linda's arrangements.
