Mary Louise McClintic, 89, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Fairfield Glade, TN and Columbus, IN, went to be with her Lord on May 20, 2019. Mary was born to Harry and Josephine Lewellen near Westport, IN. She graduated from Jackson Senior High School. She married William (Bill) McClintic and they lived together in Columbus, IN. Together they had four children. After Bill’s death in 1994, she moved to Fairfield Glade, TN, where she met and later married Bernard (BJ) Gustafson. She leaves three children, Ron McClintic (Carla McClintic), Lori McClintic (Mary McLaughlin), and Scott McClintic along with four grandchildren; Jason, Joshua, Anna and Kate. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita; husband, Bill; and siblings, Marvin Lewellen, Alice Whiteside, Letty Caldwell, John Lewellen, and Bill Lewellen. Mary worked most of her professional life at what is now Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, IN. While in Columbus, she was a member of First Christian Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She was most recently a member of St Raphael’s Episcopal Church in Crossville, TN. A graveside service will be held at Westport Cemetery on June 8, 2019 at 10 am with Rev. David Burnett officiating. A family luncheon will follow in Columbus. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mary’s life and laughter are invited to make a donation to UT Hospice, 4435 Valley View Drive, Knoxville, TN 37917.
