Avis de décès
Louise E. Ehrensberger
2 janvier 1943 – 24 juin 2019
AUX SOINS DE
Myers-Reed Chapel
On Monday, June 24, 2019, Louise Ehrensberger, loving wife, mother of four daughters, grandmother of
seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, passed away at the age of 76.
Louise was born on January 2, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to Ed and Betty Jacobson. She married Bill
Ehrensberger on June 13, 1964. Bill and Louise moved to Columbus, Indiana in 1972 where they raised
their four daughters: Tina, Teresa, Linda and Deb. Louise and Bill celebrated 55 years of loving marriage
two weeks ago.
Louise was a devout Catholic and strong advocate for all lives, especially the unborn. She was involved
in the Right to Life movement for decades. She was a mover and a shaker who participated in numerous
Pro-life rallies and marches. Louise organized and co-managed a soup kitchen with Bill that fed those in
need in the local community for over ten years. More recently, she volunteered at Just Friends and Love Chapel.
Louise had a contagious zest for living. She loved to dance and her Polka was the envy of all (much to
her young teenage daughters’ dismay). Louise enjoyed playing cards and was always ready for a family
Euchre tournament. She often clenched victory, but the jury is still out on whether she cheated to get
there. In her younger years she loved roller coaster rides and long walks. Her favorite thing to do was
to spend time with family and friends and has taught her daughters the importance of “togetherness in
the kitchen.”
Louise is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Phyllis. She is survived by her husband Bill,
daughters Tina Ehrensberger, Teresa Becker, Linda Smith (Matt) and Deb Callahan (Ed), sister Pauline
Blatz (Don), brothers Robert Jacobson, John Jacobson (Jim), grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews,
many friends and her sweet dog Lucy.
Visitation will be held at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street in Columbus, Indiana on Friday, June 28th from 4-8pm.
On Saturday, June 29th from 9-10am, there will be visitation followed by the funeral Mass at St. Bartholomew Church at 10am.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
Donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
