Jennifer “Jen” Elizabeth Weber, 55, of Columbus, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at ZwanzigZ, 1038 Lafayette Avenue in Columbus.
Jen was born on June 16, 1966 in Lafayette, Indiana, to Kenneth C. and Janice R. Weber of Freeport Illinois. She was a graduate of Hoffman Estates High School and Northern Illinois University. She earned her B.A. in Fine Arts at NIU in 1988. Jen started her career in customer service during her college years in DeKalb, Illinois. She held several positions in customer service throughout her lifetime and took pride in the exceptional care she gave her customers. Jen’s favorite part of her career was when she sold fine jewelry for JCPenny.
While in DeKalb, she met Mike Rybinski. They married in 1993 and lived together in Sycamore, Illinois, before moving to Columbus, Indiana, in 2012.
Jen enjoyed watching horse races and attended the Kentucky Derby every year since 2000. She was known by many for her creativity. She loved amateur photography and had a gift for repurposing objects and turning them into beer tap handles or other creative, artistic expressions. Jens favorite time of year was the Halloween season. She would create detailed, hand-made costumes with full-on makeup for both Mike and herself. Jen never missed an opportunity to encourage children to be themselves. She loved animals and gave several pets a loving home during her lifetime.
Jen is survived by her husband Mike Rybinski; her parents Kenneth C. and Janice R. Weber of Freeport, Illinois; her sister, Gretchen Weber of Rockford, Illinois; an aunt, Christine; an uncle Don; six cousins, Sam, Lucas, Greg, Frank Jr., Dana and Shelly; two nephews, Kenneth and Adam; and her grandfather, Robert Roach (101 years) of West Lafayette, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Alene Roach; her Grandfather and Grandmother, Frank and Elizabeth Weber; and two of their sons, Clarence and Frank Earl.
