Janice C. Blair

Janice C. Blair, 75, of Columbus, Indiana died 4:31 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Blair was born in Beloit, Wisconsin May 18, 1939 the daughter of Burton W. and Clara Van Voorhis Clarke. Janice graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in June of 1957. She married James L. Blair her beloved husband in Beloit June 28, 1958 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Beloit and he survives. Also surviving are sons, Bradley R., Timothy J., Thomas A. Blair all of Columbus and David E. Blair of Bloomington, Indiana. Special grandson Thomas J. Blair of Chicago, Il as well as granddaughters, Sara Blair and Kimberly Cabot and grandson Cody Blair and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus. She worked many years in the Beloit WI School System as an Administrative Assistant at Merrill School. She moved to Columbus in 1987, where she worked for Bartholomew County School System as an Administrative Assistant at Smith Elementary School until retiring in 2004.. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church 3201 Central Avenue in Columbus, Indiana. Pastor John Armstrong will officiate. Calling 4-8 p.m. Friday Myers~Reed Chapel 3729 25th Street Columbus and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
