Collin Sullivan Schmidt, 33, of Columbus entered into eternal life Thursday November 10, 2022.
Collin was born in Bartholomew County July 8, 1989, the son of Donald A. and Linda McMillan Schmidt.
He owned and operated Schmidt’s Garage Door. In high school and on into college he had his own Lawn Care business. Collin was a member of St Bartholomew Catholic Church and Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated from Purdue in 2012 with a BS degree in Agricultural Economics and also held a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
Collin would help anyone who needed help, was an extremely loyal person and very protective of his family which he loved very much. He loved animals as well as Purdue basketball and football. He was also a great lover of the country and the outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Linda M. Schmidt of Columbus; brother, Griffin Schmidt of Los Angeles, CA; grandparents, Donald L. and Patricia Schmidt of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Ann and Michael Kin, Rob McMillan, Nancy McMillan, Jane and Brian Hawks; cousins, Brandon Corya, Kip Corya, Adam Hawks and Jacqueline Hawks Craig.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Schmidt; grandparents, Robert H. and Betty K. McMillan; great grandparents, Dorothy Jackson and Donald and Bernice Schmidt; aunt, Kim Schmidt.
Father Clem Davis will officiate at a Private Funeral Mass for Collin at St Bartholomew Catholic Church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hathaway-myers.com.
