Clara E. Williams

Clara E William's, 96, passed away Sunday, August 16 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville, Indiana. Clara was born July 12, 1924 in Wintston County, Alabama to Burr and Lena Wise. She worked as a meat wrapper for several years before retiring in 1986. After her first retirement, she worked for many years as a Wal-Mart greeter. She retired a second time in 2002. Clara was a long-time member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was very devoted to her faith. She loved spending time with her family and was very involved in her grandchildren's lives. Clara had an outgoing personality and loved people. One of her favorite things to do was drink coffee on the porch with her friends. She enjoyed gardening, and was an avid fan of NASCAR and The Colts. Clara is survived by her daughter, Ramona Clarise Law; her granddaughters, Katie Buzzard, Kerri (Bryce Konkle) Buzzard, and Amanda (Shawn) Burkman; and her great-grandchildren, Aleric and Adalind Burkman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carolyn Ann Baker; and her siblings, Beatrice Grassi, Edna Rumbley, and Benson Wise. In keeping with Clara's wishes, there will be no public services and cremation will take place. Myers-Reed Chapel is serving the Williams Family.
