Patsy “Pat” Calhoun

Patsy (Pat) Calhoun Patsy June Calhoun was born, June 5, 1933 and passed away May 31, 2018. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 5, which is her 85th birthday at Bluebonnett Hills Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday June 4 at Bluebonnett Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville TX. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Bobby Joe Calhoun on April 7, 1950 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. She was a loving & caring: daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. As our Lord has commanded, she had a servant’s heart which was shown through her cooking to comfort and nurture others. She would always offer others another piece of pie, and say “it will make us feel better”. Pat retired from Denton State School after 27 years of devoted service as a caregiver of the intellectually and physically disabled. The caring of these special souls brought her so much joy. She was a member of the Roanoke Church of Christ. She was an avid deer hunter and brought home more trophies than her fellow hunters. Camping with her brothers, sisters and their spouses known as the “Medicaid Brigade” was a highlight in her life, as well as her family gatherings. She will always be remembered for her loving heart and caring nature. Survived by: daughter, Sharon Crenshaw and spouse Rickey ; son, Greg Calhoun and spouse Stephanie, and grandchildren, Kelli Beck and spouse Randy, Wes Mathis and spouse Jessica, Andy Crenshaw and spouse Maggie, Chad Crenshaw and spouse Shannon, Nick Calhoun and spouse Melissa, Neal Calhoun and spouse Hannah, Natalie and Nicole Calhoun, great grandchildren Richard Beck and spouse Whitney, Ashton West and spouse Ben, Lauren Peterson and spouse Josh, Emma and Carson Mathis, Cale Crenshaw, Presley, Peyton, Parker, Stella, Sutton and Sadie Calhoun, great-great grandchildren, Ryder and Kennedi Beck and Kylie and Tucker Peterson who all loved their Granny & GiGi. Her legacy was extended by accepting her daughter’s lifelong friend Sharon Price as her own, grandson Justin Price spouse Ryndi, great granddaughters Aubrey and Bailey. She is survived by brothers Richard and Bob Couch and spouse Mary and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, brothers and sisters.
