Nécrologie de Francisco Javier Loya
Francisco Javier Loya, 36, of Crozet, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. Javier, Javy to those who knew him best, was born on October 30, 1986, in Charlottesville, VA to Homero Loya and Christy Dominguez. In his short time on this earth, Javier’s journey was like a rock thrown into a lake: sending ripples ever outward into the future. Those ripples were felt by many, and will continue to be felt anytime one watches UVA, The Dallas Cowboys, or the Atlanta Braves, these teams brought him so much joy. Every time his sweet boys smile and laugh, when you feel the sun on your face and the sand beneath your toes, or any time you take a ride with the windows down and radio up (Javy loved a Crozet 500). Javy loved life and lived it his way, on his own terms. As a young boy Javy could be found on the baseball field, riding bikes or running around with his siblings and neighborhood friends in Greenwood. As a man, Javy enjoyed being outdoors, working on his jeep (he LOVED that jeep), watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest achievement in life were his two boys. He was so proud, and loved being a father. Although life didn’t always come easy to Javy, and he had his struggles, he had willpower and faith like no other, he was a fighter. Javy had one of the kindest souls and most contagious smiles. He loved with his whole heart. Although life for those who loved him will never be the same, comfort can be found knowing he is finally at peace, and is reunited with his beloved dog Brandy. Javier was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Nancy Layne and paternal grandparents Jose and Leanor Loya. Javier is survived by two sons Beckham and Dawson Loya. His parents Christy Dominguez and Homero Loya. Three brothers Jessie Loya, his wife Cierra Loya, Diego Dominguez, and Hector Dominguez. Two sisters, Candie Loya and her partner, Justin Birckhead, and Lyndzie Dominguez. Three nieces, Adaleigh, Kinsley, and Mylah Birckhead, and one special nephew Ryder Loya. Numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins. A plethora of friends. A very dear friend, second family, CT Martin and his mother Brenda Martin. A Celebration of life will be held on December 2, 2022 at 11am at the Greenwood Community Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peachtree Baseball League or the Mohr Center of Charlottesville. (Organization of choice – this section is optional).
