Dana Jessee Layne

Dana Jessee Layne, 54, of Charlottesville, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Born on February 7, 1966, she was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She was proceeded in death by her father and mother Clifford Allen and Estella Ann Via Jessee; father-in-law Donald Davis Layne, Sr.; brothers Daryl Jessee and Dwayne Jessee; and son Parker Rose. She is survived by her husband Donald “Davy” Layne Jr. of 17 years; sister Darleen Jessee Jones and husband Blake; mother in-law Betty Funk Layne; sister-in-law Pam Jessee; brothers-in-law Rodney Layne and wife Alissa, and Gregory Layne and wife Jennifer; three step-sons William “Willie” Layne and wife Megan, Michael Layne, and Chris Layne; three grandchildren Hunter, Noah, and Kyler; numerous nephews and nieces, and many other family members. Dana enjoyed traveling, going out to restaurants, loved camping and the great outdoors, and being with her family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of her to the charity of your choice. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
